Joe Estevez is an American actor and director. He is the younger brother of actor Martin Sheen and the uncle of Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen, Renée Estevez, and Ramon Estevez.
He is best known for playing President Jason Davidson on the television show Decker, as well as his son, President Jason Davidson Jr.
History
Estevez is well regarded in Hollywood for his extensive filmography, appearing in many films and some video games. Because of this, he was interviewed by Gregg Turkington for the On Cinema at the Cinema segment, Popcorn Classics Behind the Curtain. When asked which actors should receive an Oscar, generally, he replied with Humphrey Bogart. He also offered Turkington some sealed copies of his films on DVD.[1]
He next appeared on the show in the segment On Cinema Presents Stars on Directors, where he was interviewed by Turkington and On Cinema host Tim Heidecker on his thoughts and perspectives on Woody Allen. He felt that Allen was #2 in his ranking of American directors, behind Alfred Hitchcock, and that his films would be underappreciated until Allen passed away and his body of work was re-evaluated.[2]
In February 2014, he wished Turkington well on his attempt to watch 500 movies in 500 days.[3]
