On Cinema at the Cinema (season 3)
The third season of On Cinema at the Cinema began airing July 3, 2013.
Tim begins the season in the midst of recovering from surgery for his blood clots. He reveals that he had asked the crew to delay filming of this season for a month in order to recover and get his personal affairs in order.[1] Gregg announces the beginning of his #501MoviesIn501Days campaign.[2] By season's end, he had watched 51 movies after 35 days, putting him well ahead of schedule. Tim also begins dating Ayaka, although she is forced to return to Japan following a “visa issue.”[3]
During this season, Tim and Gregg reach something of a high point in their relationship, even showing signs of “bromance” by going to the movies together.[4][5] Following a resurfacing of their Star Trek IV dispute, however, Tim abruptly fires Gregg from the show.[5] He brings Gregg back a couple episodes later.[6]
