Tim doesn't need to see 'Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters' and 'Elysium' to know they are five baggers.
Synopsis
Tim stares into space for a moment before snapping out of it and welcoming the viewers to the On Cinema podcast…that is, at the Cinema. He explains that he is in a rush due to appointments with his doctors, and lawyers.
Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters once again features a cast of no-names, to Tim's annoyance. He hands the cards to Gregg after struggling to read the plot summary. Gregg describes the film as “The Hobbit underwater,” or “Hobbit meets Jaws,” and hopes that it marks the beginning of a new franchise. Both award it five bags, although Tim admits he was unable to go see it.
The second movie is Elysium, whose cast and crew list once again prompts complaints from Tim. He says the film is too much of a “liberal kind of thing” for him, because of Matt Damon and its “negative attitude towards blacks.” Gregg disagrees, saying it was a popcorn movie, and Tim admits he did not see it. He awards it five bags anyway, and explains that it has been a hard week. Gregg says movies can take his mind off his problems, but Tim says he is too busy with moving and with frequent medical testing.
Today, Tim and Gregg do an On Cinema On Birthdays segment, wishing a happy birthday to M. Night Shyamalan. Tim interrupts the segment after a few seconds to berate the crew for not giving him an extra month to recover from his surgery and get his affairs in order. He then mistakenly directs them to begin Popcorn Classics before correcting himself, and airing Gregg's On Cinema On Location segment.
Gregg visits Excelsior High School, the setting of Rydell High School in the film Grease 2 (1982, 114 mins). After the segment, Tim thanks Gregg for “being a team player.” Gregg, still holding the cards, says “see you next week!” and the lights darken, but Tim orders the crew to turn them back on so he can say “thanks for watching” himself.
