Tim and Gregg dive into the rock-and-roll world of Jem and the Holograms and get spooked by Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.

Synopsis

Today is the lucky seventh episode of Lucky Season 7, so Tim says today will be a fun casino-themed episode. Special guest Gregg Turkington is “Mr. Sour Grapes himself,” as he is still miffed over the cancellation of Decker vs. Dracula. He encourages the viewers to tweet at Tim en masse to bring back the show, but Tim insists he doesn't listen to “the court of public opinion.”

The first movie today, Jem and the Holograms, features Molly Ringwald, from Molly Ringwald movies. Tim calls it “one of the great classics of all time,” and a pleasant “throwback” to one of his favorite childhood cartoons. Gregg compares it to A Star is Born “but with animated characters who have now come to life.” Both award it highest marks.

Next up is Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. Tim says they can keep making Paranormal Activity movies forever and he will keep watching; Gregg snidely remarks that Tim would simply cancel them. Ignoring the remark, Tim continues on, describing the movie as “spine-tingling,” and he remarks that he likes a good horror movie that gives him a spook. Gregg interjects to call the Dr. San Forgiveness Special a horror movie, and proceeds to lambast Tim's performance, appearance, and work ethic in Decker vs. Dracula. Tim responds by thanking Dr. San for putting him on a “Relax” powder that eliminates all of Gregg's negativity. The two go back and forth for a while before finally moving on to a game of Stump the Buff.

The trivia questions, according to Tim, all involve the number seven. Gregg misses the first question (what 1995 thriller starred Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman), guessing Joe Black instead of Se7ven. Gregg says it was a trick question, as the answer and the game name were the same. He misses the second question too, guessing Seven Brides for Seven Grooms instead of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Gregg insists Seven Brothers is the British title, while Seven Grooms is the American title, but Tim doesn't buy it. The final question, a Wild Card question, asks what was the lowest-rated film in On Cinema history. Gregg guesses the One Direction documentary, but Tim says the correct answer is Ant Man. Frustrated, Gregg walks off set in a huff. Tim is left to play the next game by himself, going to work on a set of scratch-off lottery tickets.
