It's a busy week with two fresh reviews, an update on Decker, another Popcorn Classic, and an urgent message from Tim.

Synopsis

Our movie reviewers are in an upbeat mood today, as they are fresh from Hawaii, where they have been filming Decker: Port of Call: Hawaii. Tim also reveals that he has been staying in Gregg's apartment, where he has taken over Gregg's bedroom. Gregg, for his part, stays in the living room, where he apparently watches movies constantly.

They jump right into the reviews, starting with Focus. Tim describes the movie as “very sharp and in focus,” and praises Will Smith, one of his favorites. Gregg concurs that the film is very focused, thanks in part to its two directors, and picks Will Smith for an Oscar.

Lazarus is almost like a horror movie, Tim says, and he praises Danny Glover- or rather, Donald Glover. Gregg likes the “coming-back-from-the-dead” topic, opining that Lazarus is among the first of a new genre of monster film in that regard. He hopes that the movie will spawn a series of sequels as well.

For Popcorn Classics, Gregg has chosen Son of the Pink Panther, which was to be featured in a Golden Age Comedies segment before Tim killed that segment. Gregg is confused that there is a three-star rating on the VHS cover, when the film is an easy-five bagger. Tim butts in to say that although most media outlets and publications use stars, On Cinema chose to use bags of popcorn in order to do something unique.

Tim closes with a message he learned from values.com, directed solely at Ayaka. He says he needs to “express myself from my heart,” and says he is very sorry for how things turned out between them. He pleads with her to get in touch with him, as he wants to take their relationship “to the next level” and be with his son.
