Synopsis
The world's favorite movie-reviewing duo looks a bit fatigued today; they have been hard at work lately. Tim, his newly-reskinned face gleaming under the studio lights, says that the next season of Decker has gotten underway. Additionally, preparation for the Electric Sun Desert Music Festival has taken up much of Tim's time; the festival is due to take place next week. Tim also announces the creation of a new vape kit, the TCH Vape System, developed and blended by him and Dr. San, and named after Tim's late son. He plans to distribute the vape system at the festival, along with lectures from Dr. San about its benefits and usage.
Before reviewing the movies, Tim orders the paella and some champagne from his retooled menu; Gregg, exasperated with the non-movie talk, shoos Mark off set. First on the docket is Fast and Furious 8, actored by Vin Diesel and others. Tim notes the film suffers from the absence of Paul Driver (né Walker), and takes the filmmakers to task for the “disrespectful” decision to not digitally resurrect him. Gregg opines that “sometimes it's just time for an actor to move on,” so that a new chapter can begin. He also notes that the Fast and Furious franchise will soon enter the Guinness World Records for the highest numbered sequel. Tim's paella arrives; he says he is allergic to shellfish, prompting Mark to pick out the mussels. Mark accidentally knocks over Tim's wine, which is also no good, it seems.
The Lost City of Z is a true Oscar contender in Tim's book. Gregg compares it to “epic adventure” films like Ben-Hur and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. After this review, and over Gregg's request to do his Popcorn Classics segment, Tim brings out Dr. San to discuss the new TCH Vape System. Dr. San says the blend is “100% ma huang free,” eliminating the heart palpitations side effects plaguing the doc's earlier vape blends. According to Dr. San, this new one contains venom from the bufo alvarius toad, which regulates brain waves to allow for enhanced meditation. The first 100 attendees of the Electric Sun festival will receive a TCH vape kit, consisting of a vape pen, oil, cleaning kit, and USB cable.
Finally, Gregg proceeds with his Popcorn Classics segment, featuring How to Deal, a teen movie comparable to Rebel Without a Cause in its appeal to young moviegoers. Tim, who has been taking long drags from his vape pen the whole episode, spaces out almost entirely. He barely has the wherewithal to close out the show, shutting down Gregg's request to do a Road to Hollywood segment.
