Tim is excited to see how cavemen lived, and film expert Gregg Turkington answers questions for charity in a brand new segment.
Synopsis
Tim welcomes the viewers to his show, and introduces his guest, Gregg Turkington, who congratulates Tim on a successful season so far. There is only one film on the docket for today, The Croods, an animated film about cavemen. Tim praises the film for being “beautifully drawn” and calls it one of his favorite films of the year. Gregg finds it heartwarming, stating that he saw it with some family members, who enjoyed it. Both praise the distinctive voice of Nicolas Cage, and Tim appreciates seeing what things were like back in the cavemen days (without the silliness of the Flintstones).
After a quick swig of coffee, Tim starts a game of Stump the Buff, in which Tim asks Gregg film trivia questions. For this game, they have partnered with Thing X to donate $500 to charity for every question Gregg answers correctly; with five questions on the cards, $2500 is at stake. However, Gregg misses all five questions, although he insists some of his answers are correct due to unfair technicalities (for example, do the 1980s span from 1980 to 1989, or 1981 to 1990?). With no money raised for charity, the theater darkens, and Gregg sits in humiliated silence.

Trivia
- One of the very few times in On Cinema that anyone in Gregg's family is referred to. It is not known which family members he saw The Croods with, but it seems that he is on good terms with at least some of them at this point in time.
