Gregg and non-VHS formats
On Cinema guest Gregg Turkington is well known for his promotion of VHS (media format) as a format. However, his original movie collection was said to have once contained DVDs as well as VHS tapes.
DVD
Instances Gregg has spoken positively about DVD
- In Podcast Episode 4: "Carlito's Way", Gregg primarily mentioned having searched for a DVD copy of the film Carlito's Way, though he also mentioned off-hand that he had a VHS player.
- In Podcast Episode 15: "Misery", Gregg proudly stated he watched the film Misery twice, once on VHS and once on DVD.
- In Podcast Episode 29: "The Three Stooges", Gregg states that he can't wait to get the DVD of The Three Stooges.
- Also in that episode, Gregg mentions having seen the bloopers of There's Something About Mary on DVD.

- In Podcast Episode 6: Lethal Weapon Trilogy, Gregg immediately recommended Blu-ray as the format to purchase the Lethal Weapon trilogy on home video, even recommending Best Buy as a location to purchase a player and movies.
- In Podcast Episode 29: "The Three Stooges", Gregg, excited for the DVD release, mentions that considering how long it may take for The Three Stooges to come to home video, it may instead come out on Blu-ray.
