The buffs take a look at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson's incredible transition into the world of acting, and Gregg gets a candid opinion on Woody Allen's new film from the resident On Cinema Woody Expert.

Synopsis

Tim looks rather banged up- his right eye is a shiner, and his right wrist is in a cast. He explains that, after the wrap party for the first episode of Decker, he stopped at a store on the way back to Jackson Hole, and was yelled at by an elderly woman for parking his motorcycle in a handicap space. While attempting to dismount his bike and confront the woman, he tripped on his saddlebag and faceplanted, fracturing his wrist in the process. Gregg is surprised that the bike was not even moving (it was idling, though).

With his right eye shut and his left eye already bad, Tim has Gregg read the cards for Wish I Was Here. Tim found it “introspective” and compares it to a fairy tale. Gregg thought it was “more realistic” than that, with its life-like portrayal of day-to-day problems. Both pick it to win an Oscar, and Tim says it will be a “blockbuster” and a “tent pole movie.”

Tim tries to read the card for Hercules, but once more requires assistance from Gregg. Tim says he loves “anything with Hercules,” and says it is a great summer movie. Gregg concurs, and praises Dwayne Johnson, saying Oscar may come knocking.

Tim introduces a third movie, Magic in the Moonlight, directed by Woody Allen. For this film's discussion, a new segment airs, Celebrity Backlot, in which Gregg has snuck onto the Warner Bros. studio backlot to track down Joe Estevez. Gregg finally finds Joe, and walks with him as he munches on a bag of chips. Joe says anything Woody does is fantastic, and Magic in the Moonlight is no exception. He also agrees that the film is Oscar-worthy and has an exceptional cast.

Gregg introduces a Popcorn Classics selection, Q & A, an “overlooked” classic. It is a basic cops-and-robbers flick, not groundbreaking, but still worth a look. With that, Tim quickly ends the show, as he must get to a doctor's appointment.
