This week, Tim discusses the home-brew coffee scene, and introduces a new “On Guests” segment so the audience can get to know some of their favorite On Cinema buffs.

Synopsis

After the usual welcomes and introductions, Tim takes a moment to address the big news from the end of last season, namely Ayaka's pregnancy. He announces that the “situation has been taken care of,” as he sent Ayaka funds to undergo a certain “procedure.” He also says that in spite of this, he stands by his pro-life values, having taken this step only when push came to shove. Finally, he says he does not want personal issues to influence the show, which Gregg wholeheartedly concurs with.

They jump into the first film, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, featuring Andy Serkis. (Circus?) Tim says the movie is even better than the previous prequel film, whose name he can't seem to remember. Gregg remembers that it is Rise of the Planet of the Apes, leading to some confusion over the difference between “rise” and “dawn.” Tim says Dawn will win Best Picture, while Gregg hopes it won't, as that may indicate it will be the end of the franchise, and he wants at least ten more Planet of the Apes films. He also says he is glad James Bond has not won Best Picture yet for this reason, and Tim's acerbic response leads to a brief flareup.

Tim declares And So It Goes the funniest movie of the year, and awards it five bags. Gregg concurs, and predicts that director Rob Reiner will win Best Director. He also awards it five bags.

Tim suddenly goes off on a tangent about his new life in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where there is “only one movie theater.” He says he now brews coffee at home, and finds the taste superior to that of Starbucks or other coffee shops. He gets around by motorcycle, including shopping trips, and seems satisfied with his new lifestyle. Gregg says it doesn't sound all that great, because he is missing the “lights, camera, and action” of Los Angeles.

The final segment is a new one, On Cinema On Guests, in which Tim interviews resident film buff expert Gregg Turkington. In the segment, Gregg appears in a suit (which Tim asked him to wear), and sits opposite Tim in front of a green screen. He asks Gregg a seemingly random series of questions about movies and VHS coding, and has Gregg answer into the camera instead of to Tim directly. Gregg is confused, especially by the lack of questions about his background, which Tim said he would be asking. Tim mollifies him by asking where he was born (he answers Los Angeles).
