Star Trek is an American media franchise, consisting of numerous television shows and movies. It stars the crew of the starship USS Enterprise, as they travel the stars.

There is some debate as to which movie in the original series of films takes place in San Francisco. Tim Heidecker has stated on On Cinema that he believes that Star Trek IV takes place in San Francisco, while his guest Gregg Turkington insists that Star Trek II is set there.
