Tim and Gregg look at a new nail-biter. Also, Gregg shares an update on the Victorville Film Archive.
Synopsis
Tim welcomes the viewers to today's episode of “Tim Heidecker's Movie Review Show”- the Delgados have now taken over the On Cinema brand, preventing Tim from using it. He also announces that today will be the last episode in virtual reality, as the Delgados have come after the equipment too. He thanks Max Eucompco for helping with the VR setup. Tim also advises against using Rio-Jenesis products, which he implies were responsible for his illness last week.
He also sends another message to the Delgados: “I'm done.” He says he is emotionally and financially at the breaking point and ready to give up. He dares the Delgados to take his Fossil watch, but is otherwise ready to give in. Gregg opines that hosting the show in the theater like usual would have prevented many of these issues, but Tim shuts down that conversation.
The only movie up for review today is Traffik. Tim gets distracted, however, and vents his frustrations for a bit before suddenly asking Gregg to do a Popcorn Classics. He grabs one of Gregg's tapes, Training Day, at random, but again interrupts Gregg's review to rant. He despairs that he has lost everything; he can no longer afford even to “turn the lights on” and does not know where his next meal will come from. He abruptly throws the Blue cards into Gregg's lap and walks off set, saying he doesn't care anymore.
Gregg reviews Traffik, comparing it to Easy Rider and praising the horror elements; Tim begins dismantling the cameras while Gregg speaks. Gregg airs an update on the Victorville Film Archives. He showcases some of the archive's newest VHS acquisitions, and announces that the VFA will soon partner with two local universities for screenings of VFA Popcorn Classics. He asks the viewers for donations before closing out. Throughout the segment, a ventilator can be heard. Visible on the 360-degree VR camera, laying on a bed directly in front of Gregg, is a slumbering Mark Proksch.
