The “On Cinema” Film Guide was a mobile app released in September 2013 as the “2013 Mobile Edition.”^[1] It featured 1000s of reviews from On Cinema host Tim Heidecker and frequent guest Gregg Turkington of movies released up to 2013.^[2] Users could select a movie, or they could tap on Tim or Gregg to get a recommendation from either. The app was developed to help quickly get recommendations for movies to watch, and to replace guides to films that were large and unwieldly.^[2] It was available on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for 99¢,^[2] however, it is no longer available for download.

Reviews were audio only, accompanied by stills of Tim and Gregg from On Cinema at the Cinema. It also employed the same rating system as At the Cinema. Due to the sheer number of movies reviewed, each review was created used a set of pre-set phrases by Tim and Gregg. However, some movies had specific reviews programmed in: American Graffiti, More American Graffiti, Atlas Shrugged: Part 1, The Guilt Trip, Jack Reacher, Parental Guidance, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. James Bond movies didn't have specific reviews programmed in, but the entire series had Bond-specific phrases the hosts could use.

The app also included a popcorn recipe and a copy of the U.S. Constitution.

In 2017, the app was updated to include movies up to 2017, the “2017 Mobile Edition.”
