The buffs return with two fresh reviews from an exciting new location. Plus, Tim makes a special announcement.

Synopsis

A brand-new opening sequence shows Gregg in front of a movie theater in Victorville, California, introducing the show as Tim Heidecker's On Cinema at the Cinema, with the usual one-liners from Tim sprinkled in. Tim rocks a man bun atop his black Dekkar outfit; Gregg sports a snappy suit. After they take their seats, Tim welcomes the viewers to the new season and explains the new digs: he was having “issues” with the old studio, so On Cinema relocated their operations to this abandoned theater in Victorville. The “Tom Cruise Memorial Arts Fund” (as well as contributions from Ayaka's father) made possible the acquisition of the theater, which is now called the Victorville Film Center, and is located only a mile from the Victorville Film Archives. It has plenty of work to be done, including the air conditioning, but Tim and Gregg are optimistic about its future. Tim also plugs the season finale of Decker season 4 and Dekkar's LP record.

The first review of the season is Star Trek Beyond. Tim thought is was “really interesting” to see them take the franchise to “new heights” and awards it highest marks. Gregg notes that director Justin Lin is a Fast and Furious alum, so this Star Trek film might be perceived as a bit too close to that, but Gregg nonetheless describes the film as “the best Star Trek movie since Star Trek II, which was set in San Francisco.” He also awards it highest marks.

Next up is Hillary's America, starring Hillary Clinton. Tim says it is one of his favorite movies of the year, and predicts it will win an Oscar. He describes it as a “bombshell” that will expose Hillary's fraud and crimes. Gregg interjects to rein in Tim's soapboxing, but Tim continues, declaring that Hillary deserves “life in prison, if not more,” including capital punishment. These remarks worry Gregg, who says Tim will get the theater shut down, but Tim continues on and says all voters should be required to see the film. As for Gregg's own review, he says he was skeptical of reviewing a documentary, which is “not a real movie.” But he was surprised by the quality of the live-action elements in the film, which he found more interesting than the politics. He compares it to The French Connection and All the President's Men as a political thriller, but wishes all the news footage would have been cut.

Before the show ends, Tim announces that he and Ayaka are expecting another child.
