An incredibly long runtime doesn't hurt the brilliant “The Wolverine” and actor Joe Estevez comes by to discuss “Blue Jasmine” and the legacy of Woody Allen.

Synopsis

Tim is finally free of either head bandages or hats, although he says his head is “in about a thousand places.” He says he needs more time to recover, and Gregg offers to step in and host if need be. Tim seems dismissive of the idea.

First on the docket is an X-Men movie, The Wolverine, whose cast is all no-names (except for Hugh Jackman). This frustrates Tim, who tells the crew he “can't keep doing these names.” However, he calls the film “great,” and gives it five bags. Gregg says he is an X-Head, and calls this the Gone With the Wind (1939, 221 minutes) of Wolverine movies, due to its long running time. He says he could have watched it forever, though, and awards it five bags.

Next is a Woody Allen film, Blue Jasmine. Tim is a bit hung up on Louis C.K.'s name, thinking something should follow C.K. Gregg explains it is a stage name, but Tim doesn't buy it. Tim praises the film as an instant classic (like any other Woody Allen), and picks it to win Best Picture. Tim laments that he can no longer go see films with his wife, but appreciates having seen the film with Gregg. He admits the film made him a bit emotional due to its portrayal of relationship issues. The two do not bother to review the film further (though Tim gives it six bags), moving right into their next segment.

Today they debut a new segment, On Cinema Presents Stars on Directors. Their guest is Hollywood's own, Joe Estevez. They ask Joe for his opinion of Woody Allen. Joe says Allen is a genius, as well as an accomplished musician. He says he would put Allen about #2 or #3 on his list of American directors, behind Hitchcock. They also discuss why Allen's movies flop, the prospect of Allen remaking old comedies, and who the new Woody Allen might be.

The show ends with Tim inviting Gregg over to watch the end of the TV show Boston Legal.
