====== Movie House ======
The Thomas W. Phillips residence, better known as the **Movie House**, was a house leased by the [[vfa]] from [[billring]][(cite:oscar12>[[oscar12]])] in December 2024, located at 2215 S Harvard Boulevard in [[wp>Los Angeles]]. It was notable for being the original filming location for //The People Under the Stairs//. [[season15|Season 15]] of //[[ocatc]]// was filmed inside the house,[(cite:s15e01>[[s15e01]])] alongside //[[zombie22]]//.[(cite:s15e02>[[s15e02]])]

Initially, the VFA was looking at leasing 843 South El Molino Avenue in [[wp>Pasadena]], the filming location of //Father of the Bride//.[(cite:s15e01)] However, an agreement was unable to be finalized. A preliminary poster for Season 15 featuring the //Father of the Bride// house was posted by Gregg, before an updated poster was released on //On Cinema//'s social media.

The house had a number of issues and was undergoing renovations by [[mark|Mark Porsk]]. There was no functioning plumbing, requiring the use of a port-a-potty, there are reports of rats chewing holes into wires and bags of food,[(cite:s15e03>[[s15e03]])] and mold removal is underway.[(cite:s15e01)] There is no also no Wi-Fi available.[(cite:s15e05>[[s15e05]])]

It was planned that the house will house the archive's collection of movies, as well as offer a number of screening rooms to watch the films. There were also a number of museum exhibits planned based on various movie franchises.[(cite:s15e01)]

The house was home to the [[v-h-s]] Movie House Studios, on which the film //[[zombie22]]// was planned to shoot.[(cite:s15e02)] It was also home to [[newmanmassage|Newman Massage]], open six days a week from noon to 10 PM,[(cite:s15e05)] before it was raided by the LAPD.[(cite:s15e09>[[s15e09]])]

It was occupied by [[tim|New Heidecker]], [[toni]],[(cite:s15e02)] and Mark.[(cite:s15e03)] Gregg Turkington and [[joe]] were also possible residents, given their time spent there, though this was not confirmed.

On March 2nd, 2025, during the filming of //[[oscar12]]//, the roof of the house collapsed due to the removal of a support beam in the attic, crushing Mark. Shortly after, the LAFD declared the house condemned and evacuated all inhabitants before the entire structure collapsed. New, who refused to leave the house, was also crushed by the falling debris. Later accounts stated that some of the wood from Movie House was burnt, suggesting the collapse of the house also caused the interior to catch fire. New stated he was surprised that anything survived the collapse, thinking anything left inside would be "ash."[(cite:2025recap>[[2025recap]])]

According to Gregg, the house was being rebuilt in June 2025. A dumpster was placed out front, where some pieces of the house and movie memorabilia was being removed from the site and disposed of.[(cite:2025recap>[[2025recap]])]
