-**Dekkar** is an American rock band fronted by [[tim|Tim Heidecker]][[axiom|Axiom Serradimigni]], and [[manuel]].+**Dekkar** is an American rock band founded by [[tim|Tim Heidecker]] and [[axiom|Axiom Serradimigni]], and currently fronted by Axiom, [[manuel]], and [[corwin]].

-===== DKR =====+Iterations of the band include [[dkr]], [[dek4r]], [[d4]], and [[emptybottleplayers]].

-DKR was an iteration of Dekkar when [[tim|Tim]] was left unable to perform due to injuries sustained in the [[vfafire|destruction of the Victorville Film Archives]].+===== History =====
+[[tim]], having previously experimented in songwriting with the song //[[oscarfever]]//, written for the //[[oscar2]]//, began to take a deeper interest in music after writing and performing //[[ourvalues]]// for //[[decker2]]//. Heidecker Heidecker met a man at Guitar Center, [[axiom|Alessandro Serradimigni]], who owned a small record label named "Axiom Records" in Italy. Heidecker and Serradimigni, also nicknamed "Axiom," immediately "clicked" and began working together on a record under the band name "Dekkar."

-===== D4 =====+During production of //[[ocatc]]// [[season7|Season 7]], Heidecker released the band's first single, //[[emptybottle]]//, with Heidecker on vocals & lead guitar (though he is seen playing bass guitar in the music video and all future performances) and Axiom on backup vocals, rhythm guitar, and drums. Production on the album continued through Season 7. A new website, dekkarmusic.net, was launched for fans to get news on the band and download //Empty Bottle// as an MP3.

-D4 was an iteration of Dekkar when [[wendy]] joined the group.+During the //[[oscar4]]//, Dekkar gave a live performance of several songs, including //Empty Bottle// and a new song called the //Oscar Medley//, which included the names of that year's Best Picture nominees in the lyrics. This live performance included two new members for the band, including [[brianthedrummer]], who had previously collaborated with Heidecker during the //[[oscar3]]//. Also new to the band was [[manuel]], a guitar player and roommate of Axiom. Manuel would become a permanent member of the band from this point onwards. During this performance, Axiom played lead guitar and Heidecker played bass guitar.
 +
+By the time of the production of //[[decker4]]//, the band had gained two new members, [[vinny]] on backing guitar and [[nick]] on drums. The band played a [[decker_dekkar|fictionalized version of themselves]] in [[d4e5]], with the character of [[jackdecker]] taking Heidecker's place as lead vocalist and bass guitar. The fictional band was killed on their tour jet in a terrorist attack. A new song, //Trigger Everything//, was written for the episode.
 +
+During production of [[season8|Season 8]] of //On Cinema//, Heidecker suffered grievous injuries during a [[vfafire|fire]] at the [[vfa]]. Unable to play bass guitar due to his injuries, Heidecker put Dekkar on hiatus. A successor band, [[dkr]], was created by Heidecker, Axiom, and Manuel, focused on an EDM sound that Heidecker could perform with a laptop using his injured hand.
 +
+After Heidecker received a transplant from Axiom to repair his damaged hand, Dekkar would reunite during the //[[oscar6]]//, where the band played with the [[thains]] to perform //Oscar Fever// and a cover of Queen's //Bohemian Rhapsody//. Dekkar also performed on tour at [[oncinemalive]] showings. Vinny and Nick were not a part of the revived Dekkar.
 +
+During the production of [[season11|Season 11]], Heidecker was becoming close friends with actor and security consultant [[larue|Michael Matthews]], who Heidecker nicknamed "LaRue." Heidecker had met LaRue on the set of //Decker//, and was growing invested in LaRue's theories of the deep state. Heidecker recorded a new version of //Empty Bottle// with LaRue rapping new vocals, and called this new iteration of the band [[dek4r]].
 +
+The original Dekkar name would return in //[[rockhouse|Rock House]]//, a reality TV show developed by and starring Axiom and Manuel for Heidecker's new television network, the [[heinetwork]]. The show followed the two's daily lives as rock stars, and their conflicts with a new roommate, pop singer [[wendy]]
 +
+Dekkar's revival would be short-lived, as a few months after the pilot of //Rock House// aired, Axiom slept with Heidecker's wife [[toni]] on her birthday. Axiom fled and hid from the enraged Heidecker, who was also claiming to hear the voice of [[drsan]], a former associate who had passed away, in his dreams. Inspired by his newfound spirituality, Heidecker reformed the Axiom-less Dekkar into [[d4]], an acapella quartet consisting of himself, Manuel, LaRue, and Kerby.
 +
+During the //[[wendyspecial]]//, Kerby inexplicably fled the Rock House and left the group. Heidecker forgave Axiom, who had been sequestered in his room, and the newly reunited Dekkar performed to end the special.
 +
+Dekkar would perform an extended live concert during the //[[oscar9]]//, with Brian the drummer returning once again to perform with the main trio. The special also aired a documentary on the history of the band, titled //Dekkar Unauthorized//. Heidecker held a phone interview with Vinny, who had not been part of the band for several years, who announced that Nick had passed away from a drug overdose.
 +
+Heidecker announced on his morning show, //[[season12]]//, that Dekkar would be touring California. Unfortunately, the band was robbed at a Love's gas station, having driven the [[vfatoursvan]] which had no roof. The band was unable to play at the first venue, and was forced to play a CD single instead of performing live. On the way back from the venue, the van crashed on the side of the highway, badly injuring all three musicians. The tour was subsequently canceled.
 +
+After recovering from the van crash, the band was present during the //[[oscar10]]// so Axiom and Manuel could perform a song for the guest of honor, [[gregg]]. Turkington, the owner of the crashed van, possessed footage from one of several dashcams installed in the vehicle for the purposes of recording vehicle tours. The footage was accidental leaked during the launch of Turkington's [[vfn]], which appeared to show Heidecker intentionally crashing the van. Disgusted, Axiom and Manuel cut off all contact with Heidecker.
 +
+Several months later, Axiom and Manuel announced on the official Dekkar YouTube channel that they had decided to kick Heidecker out of the band, and replaced him with [[corwin]]. Allard was an actor on //Decker// who they had presumably met during the Oscar Special, where he gave a speech. The trio released a new song, //[[ridewiththedevil]]//, with lyrics subtly insulting Heidecker. Incensed, Heidecker challenged the idea that he could be removed from the band legally, as he had founded the group and named it after himself. Threatening Axiom and Manuel with potential deportation, as the two were Italian immigrants, Heidecker challenged the new group to a battle of the bands at [[amatocon]], a business conference Heidecker was organizing on behalf of [[amatogroup]]. Calling the contest "[[amatoconidol]]," Heidecker formed a new group of his own called "[[emptybottleplayers]]." The results of the contest would determine which group could legally be called Dekkar, and would be judged by members of The Sweet.
 +
+At Amatocon Idol, the Empty Bottle Players were judged the winner, becoming the new Dekkar. Heidecker invited Axiom and Manuel into the new Dekkar, and would include legal documentation from Amato Group head [[gamato]] to protect them from deportation. However, it came on the condition that Allard was not allowed to join as well. Axiom and Manuel abandoned Allard, who stormed out of the conference in anger.
 +
+Dekkar has not performed since Amatocon Idol, though Axiom, Manuel, and Heidecker performed an acapella version of //Oscar Fever//outside [[moviehouse]] for the //[[oscar12]]//
