T. Amato and the Empty Bottle Players was a rock band formed by T. Amato in March 2024, following his removal from his original band, Dekkar.

The band was formed for a competition between T. and the at-the-time current members of Dekkar, Axiom, Manuel Giusti, and Corwin Allard, at AmatoCon 2024, “amatoconidol”. Set for the oscar11 of the event, both bands were to play “Empty Bottle”, and whoever had the better version of the song (as judged by Joe Estevez and The Sweet band members stevie and richie) would be granted all rights to the Dekkar name and song library. T. hired various session musicians with decades of experience to cinch the win, only to then give Axiom and Manuel “mercy” by letting them join as long as they ditched Corwin, offering to help make them American citizens. The band was then disbanded on the spot, with all the members joining Dekkar (although whether this actually sticks has yet to be seen).

T. Amato

Full article: Tim Heidecker

T. Amato, formerly Tim Heidecker, was the bandleader, founder, and namesake of T. Amato and the Empty Bottle Players, providing vocals. Before this band, he was the bandleader, founder, and namesake of Dekkar, a rock group founded in 2015. The band's first single, “Empty Bottle”, proved to be a smash hit, becoming a #1 download. T. would later revamp Dekkar multiple times, as an electronic band named DKR, a political hip-hop band named DEK4R, and an acapella band named D4, before returning to the band's roots in 2022. That same year, a tour was embarked before being cut short by a tragic crash. This crash would later be primarily pinned on T., leading to the other members, Axiom and Manuel, removing him from the band.

Alex Jules

Alex Jules played piano for the band. He is also a part of the band Bebopalula and has toured with The Monkees, Denny Laine (who once appeared in an episode of Decker before his passing), and Badfinger. He released a solo album, Topiary, in 2019.
