====== Victorville Film Archives ====== The **Victorville Film Archives**, or the **VFA**, is an organization created and operated by [[gregg]] dedicated to the preservation of movies, primarily in the form of VHS tapes. It was founded by Turkington after his [[greggscollection|personal collection of movies]] was accidentally destroyed during the filming of //[[decker2]]//. It was acquired by [[hei_inc]] in 2020. Originally based in [[wp>Victorville, California]], the organization has since changed locations several times following the [[vfafire|destruction of its original location]], though it retains Victorville in its name. It is part of [[v-h-s]]. Gregg was later seen expanding the archive into Selectavision VideoDiscs.[(cite:caseclosed>[[caseclosed]])] ===== Victorville Film Archives (original location) ===== During the filming of //[[decker2]]//, lead actor and director [[tim]] wrote and filmed a scene in which [[jackdecker]], having discovered that [[kington]] unknowingly owned a bugged VHS tape, destroys Kington's collection of tapes to prevent any further leaks. Incensed by the on-screen destruction of his [[greggscollection|personal collection]], Gregg left //On Cinema// temporarily. His collection was restored many times over, however, when he acquired a closing video store's entire stock of VHS tapes. He subsequently returned to the show and christened his newly-acquired library the Victorville Film Archives. Gregg spent a great deal of time cataloging the tapes in the Archives according to his own [[codingsystem]]. He consented to filming [[s07e09|an episode]] of //On Cinema// at the Archives, which revealed numerous moving boxes packed with VHS tapes, as well as some VHS screening equipment. The physical location of the archive was later revealed to have been a storage facility in Victorville. During [[season8|season 8]] of //On Cinema//, Tim was left homeless after being estranged from his wife [[ayaka]], and made the Archives his home. While living there, he used the space for songwriting activities with [[dekkar]], which prompted complaints from the facility's landlord. The Archives burned down when Tim fell asleep while smoking. The exact circumstances are unclear. As Gregg described it, Tim dropped a lit cigarette which ignited a blanket; according to Tim, his vape overheated and set a cardboard box alight. In any case, the Archives were a total loss, along with most of Gregg's personal items. Tim was severely burned and disfigured, requiring many reconstructive surgeries. ===== Victorville Film Archives Pictures ===== **Victorville Film Archives Pictures** is a production company and subsidiary of the VFA. It has worked on titles such as [[decker#gregg_turkington_s_decker_vs_dracula|Decker 3: DVD]] and [[deckofcards]] (2022), as well as [[season15|Season 15]] of //[[ocatc]]//. ===== Mobile VFA ===== //Main article: [[mobilevfa]]// The **Mobile VFA** was a vehicle owned and operated by the VFA in an attempt to allow wider access to its collection of movies. ===== VFA Expert Tours ===== //Main article: [[vfatoursvan]]// **VFA Expert Tours** was a business endeavor created by Gregg to give tours of famous Hollywood locations, similar to his [[onlocation]] segments from [[ocatc]]. There was [[vfatour|one pilot tour]] before the van was totaled in an [[dekkartour|unrelated incident]]. ===== Movie House ===== //Main article: [[moviehouse]]// The **Movie House** is a house owned by the VFA, planned to both store and screen the archive's filns, and function as a museum of movie history.
