====== Six Bag Cinemas ======
**Six Bag Cinemas** was a movie theater venture created by [[tim]] at the start of [[season9|Season 9]] of //On Cinema at the Cinema//, and served as the shooting location for that season.

===== Concept =====
Tim described Six Bag Cinemas as a "proof of concept" movie theater that would combine cinema with fine dining. The theater seats were thickly-cushioned black-leather motorized recliners, with tables set between them for dining convenience. Presumably, patrons could order food, including alcoholic beverages, and have it brought to them by the wait staff, all from the comfort of their theater seats.

Tim hired a chef, [[lenard]], to oversee the theater's upscale dining menu, and [[mark]] to serve as a waiter. The food options included lobster macaroni and cheese, homemade flatbread, and popcorn shrimp. Many of the dishes contained such fancy condiments as garlic aioli and truffle oil, the latter featuring prominently in the theater's signature truffle oil popcorn. Tim eventually fired Lenard, although he kept most of Lenard's dishes on the menu.

==== Reception ====
[[gregg]] was critical of the experience, finding the seats uncomfortable and the truffle oil popcorn disgusting. He was baffled that the theater did not serve regular movie popcorn, and believed that it was better for patrons to simply obtain refreshments at concession stands.
