Plus, Gregg gives an update on the Victorville Film Archive. ===== Synopsis ===== After an unusually lengthy intro, Tim appears, with a disturbingly reddened visage. He says he is "on the mend" and managing with Percocet from his doctors. His guest, Gregg Turkington, is still going ahead with screenings at the [[vfc]]. Tim notes the receipts have been lackluster; Gregg counters that he has been busy dealing with the fallout from the destruction of the [[vfa]]. The two argue about the issue for a few minutes, Tim taking Gregg to task for showing films no one wants to see, Gregg blaming Tim for causing the disaster in the first place and creating an insurance/liability nightmare. Gregg also notes that fans have been sending him boxes of VHS tapes to help restore the archives. Finally it is time for the movies, starting with //Snowden//. Tim starts to rant about Snowden, but Gregg tells him to review the movie, not the political events. Tim says the movie paints Snowden as a hero, when in reality he brought about the "end of America." He awards the film no bags and shames America for "letting Oliver Stone live." Gregg notes the obvious influence of [[decker]] on the film, as well as modern cinema in general. He awards the film five bags. The next film, //Bridget Jones's Baby//, is an obvious chick flick, according to Tim. He says the film was a great excuse to fool around with [[juliana|Juliana]] in the theater. Gregg wonders how she would be able to touch his face without causing extreme pain; Tim explains she didn't have to touch his face. This leads to a very awkward silence, which Tim breaks by awarding the movie five bags. Gregg says plenty of men enjoy the Bridget Jones franchise, and that she can be "a James Bond for women." He concurs with Tim's rating. Tim shows Gregg a couple of [[cardsandletters|well-wishes]] he received over the past week from Kenny Chesney and Rascal Flatts. Gregg seems doubtful. Tim says they will get free popcorn if they visit the VFC. "Not if I'm working," Gregg adds. ===== Ratings ===== **//Snowden// (2016, 134 mins.)**\\ **[[tim|Tim]]**: ❌\\ **[[gregg|Gregg]]**: 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿 + 🚪 **//Bridget Jones's Baby// (2016, 123 mins.)**\\ **[[tim|Tim]]**: 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿\\ **[[gregg|Gregg]]**: 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
