The gang is back together with big gross-out laughs in "Grown Ups 2," and "Pacific Rim" is one Tom Cruise short of a perfect rating.
===== Synopsis =====
Tim no longer wears a bandage on his head, opting instead for a gray fedora. He and his guest, Gregg Turkington, jump into the reviews without much fanfare.
//Grown Ups 2//, an Adam Sandler film, is praised by Tim, who enjoyed the first film for its combination of summer and gross-out comedy. Gregg opines that the title of the film should be "Grown Ups Only" due to its raunchy nature, but he still gives it highest marks (along with a throw-up bag for its gross-out elements).
Next up is //Pacific Rim//, a Guillermo del Toro film, with a "bunch of nobodies" in the cast. Tim says the film was interesting, but only gives it two bags, because it was not very interesting, and lacked Tom Cruise. He describes it as "junk" due to its lack of big stars. Gregg argues that //Alien// (1979, 117 mins) is a five-bagger despite its lack of Tom Cruise, and awards //Pacific Rim// the same amount. Tim agrees somewhat with Gregg, amending his rating to four bags, but admonishes Hollywood to cast more stars in their big-budget films or he will not go see them. Countering this, Gregg argues that Tom Cruise was once a nobody, but Tim doesn't buy it.
Gregg's [[popcornclassics]] selection is a Harrison Ford film, //Six Days, Seven Nights//. He says it is "exciting, got a little romance for the ladies, and just a fun package." Like last week's selection, his tape is labeled with his signature [[codingsystem]], which indicates he gives the film 5 bags of popcorn. Tim says he remembers the film flopping, but Gregg disagrees, saying it brought back the "Bogart and Bacall" style of filmmaking, like //Casablanca// (1942, 102 mins). He says he can't recommend the film enough.
Just before the show ends, Gregg interrupts to present Tim with a little gift: he has brought in two polo shirts, in "popcorn butter yellow" color, with Tim's and Gregg's name embroidered on them to wear during future shows. Tim seems a little concerned about the size, but Gregg says they are one size fits all, and he can have it altered if need be.
