Also, Les Miserables is a movie with music in it. ===== Synopsis ===== With two BIG movies on the docket, Tim and Gregg are excited to get into the reviews, especially Gregg, who almost launches into the synopsis himself before Tim reins him in. Tim introduces //The Hobbit//, and Gregg starts with a one-word review: "FINALLY." As a self-described "Hobbit Freak," he welcomes this new era of //[[lotr]]// films with open arms. Tim is amazed by the special effects, particularly how short the hobbits look compared to humans. He also advises the viewers not to bother watching //Lord of the Rings// before seeing //The Hobbit//, as the latter is a prequel. Gregg's advice is to see the film on a big screen such as IMAX, because you will "feel it in your bones." Both reviewers choose the film to win plenty of [[oscarpick|Oscar gold]], and praise Peter Jackson as the "king of movies." For //Les Misérables//, the pair say almost nothing about it, except to rate it. Gregg's Popcorn Classic is //18 Again!// (1988, 93 minutes), starring George Burns. Gregg's review is, "A delight for all ages, I can't stop laughing, I love this movie." ===== Ratings ===== **//The Hobbit// (2012, 169 mins.)**\\ **[[tim|Tim]]**: 6 bags of popcorn, 6 sodas, [[oscarpick|OSCAR PICK]]\\ **[[gregg|Gregg]]**: 5 bags of popcorn, 1 big Hobbit hug, [[oscarpick|OSCAR PICK]] **//Les Misérables// (2012, 158 mins.)**\\ **[[tim|Tim]]**: 5 bags of popcorn\\ **[[gregg|Gregg]]**: 4 or 5 bags of popcorn, whatever ===== Trivia ===== * First appearance of Tim's introductory catchphrase: "This movie had it all, it had action, drama, comedy, suspense, and dance."
