**Jordan Hoffman** is an American freelance film critic and former actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his work with //New York Daily News//, //The Guardian//, Film.com, //Vanity Fair//, //ScreenCrush//, and //The Times of Israel//. He is also a contributor to //Badass Digest// and StarTrek.com. He is a prominent //[[startrek]]// fan.

He was a long-time listener of the //[[podcast|On Cinema]]// podcast and was invited onto the show as a guest for [[pod36]] by host [[tim]]. He had a number of disagreements with another guest on the episode, [[gregg]], over the film //300// and the //Star Trek// series. Turkington called his qualifications into question due to his lack of a notable film collection, and hypothesized that StarTrek.com may have been a fan site posing as an official Star Trek resource.
