**"Corn Crisis"** is the pilot episode to //**The Animated Adventures of Jack Decker**//, a planned animated continuation of the //[[decker]]// franchise. It originally aired on [[adultswim]] on July 3, 2020, as part of a four-hour //Decker// Fourth of July weekend marathon. No director or writing credits are given,[(fn:credits>**[META]** The actual credits are shown at the end, with Chris Toms credited for directing and Tim and Gregg credited for writing. For the full list of actual credits, [[credits#the_animated_adventures_of_jack_decker|see here]])] though [[tim]] is credited for creating this pilot. This is currently the last piece of //Decker// related media released, and with the //[[oncinema|On Cinema]]// franchise moving from Adult Swim to [[heinetwork]] later in 2020, it will likely stay the last, although [[deckofcards|a purely coincidental action franchise]] would later launch on the HEI Network in 2022.

The pilot episode features Tim Heidecker returning as [[jackdecker]] and [[joe]] returning as [[davidsonsr]], although whether this is the original Decker and Davidson or the younger [[jackdeckerjr|Decker Jr.]] and [[davidsonjr|Davidson Jr.]] is not specified. Gregg Turkington portrays a new character, [[trippspencer]]; who was originally planned to be included in //[[decker6]]// before being cut, the opening credits stipulate he was included by popular demand. [[axiom]] and [[manuel]] portray themselves as members of [[dkr]], while [[larue]] portrays Special Agent Jeremy Coleman. [[jamesdean]] appears as the overall antagonist, [[dracula]], with [[mark|Mark Prokse]] as his henchman, [[frankenstein]], and [[bobbyvalli]] as the episode's antagonist, Rumpelstiltskin.

When the special was first announced to air on June 26, 2020, Gregg expressed excitement on [[twitter|Twitter]],[(cite:greggexcite>[[https://twitter.com/greggturkington/status/1276977135899426816|"The new Kington and Jack Decker cartoon will be included along with all the Decker movies, you will definitely need 5 bags of popcorn that night", Tweet from @greggturkington, 6/26/2020]])] while Tim expressed confusion.[(cite:timhuh>[[https://twitter.com/timheidecker/status/1277605406672515074|"??????", Tweet from @timheidecker, 6/26/2020]])] Tim later stated that he had little to do with the production of this pilot and that he "foolishly" allowed Tripp Spencer to return. He also kept calling the pilot a "bad flop" and a "children's cartoon", encouraging his fans not to watch and attempting to contact Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, and AT&T to pull the pilot from the schedule. <wrap todo>There's more info worth grabbing, like Tim stating he had a 2000 page script.
