====== James Bond ====== **//James Bond//** is a British media franchise, created by Ian Fleming. It features the eponymous spy, James Bond, a British agent of MI6, codenamed 007, traveling the world and stopping plots of world domination. It began as a series of novels, before being adapted into a series of movies that it is best known for today. Frequent //On Cinema// guest gregg at one point stated that the James Bond series was his favorite series of movies. His personal favorite (of the movies starring Roger Moore) was //For Your Eyes Only//.[(cite:pod20>pod20)] Additionally, despite Turkington's frequent and vocal distaste for music, he appears to have a soft spot for the series and its theme songs,[(cite:pod20)][(cite:oscarour>oscarour)] fondly recalling Duran Duran performing "The Living Daylights."[(cite:oscar1>oscar1)] His favorite Bond actor is Roger Moore.[(cite:pod45>pod45)][(cite:s04e08>s04e08)] Host tim has gone on record about his distaste for the //James Bond// franchise, stating he "just doesn't like" them[(cite:s01e02>s01e02)] and finds them confusing.[(cite:s10e10>s10e10)] He also complained that he hated that Bond was played by different actors,[(cite:s02e02>s02e02)] and that the music sounded too much like "detective music."[(cite:oscar1)] Despite this, his television series //decker// has been said to have been directly inspired by the franchise. In pod45, Turkington was given an opportunity to host an episode dedicated entirely to the franchise, and revealing what he felt were the top five //Bond// movies. He expressed difficultly in creating the list, feeling that all the movies were of comparable quality. They were, in no particular order: * //Die Another Day// * //The World is Not Enough// * //The Spy Who Loved Me// * //Tomorrow Never Dies// * //The Living Daylights// Interestingly, Turkington did not include //For Your Eyes Only//. During the //oscar1//, Heidecker predicted that oscars would announce that the film franchise would come to an end with the release of //Skyfall//. (This did not come to pass.) Turkington, however, predicted that due to the success of //Skyfall//, a new //Bond// movie would be released twice a year. (This also did not come to pass.) Heidecker later repeated his prediction that the //James Bond// series would end with //Skyfall//, feeling that the series would no longer be needed with the release of films such as //reacher//. Turkington disagreed, stating that the release of //Skyfall// was an "awakening" and that there would be a renaissance of //Bond// movie, potentially with team-ups with other film franchises.[(cite:future>future)] Heidecker has stated that he would watch a //James Bond// movie starring Liam Neeson.[(cite:s04e08)]
